Our city is known for its commitment to overseas missions.  While these missions are needed and we thank God for the opportunities we have, we also have a tremendous mission field here in our own backyard.  Join us in Colorado Springs for a first hand experience working with the poor and homeless.  Build relationships while meeting the needs of the poor and learning practical skills that you can use where you live. One hundred percent of check and cash donations and more than 95% of credit card donations go directly to helping the poor.  

ONE DAY MISSION TRIP
Pick a full day your group can come to Colorado Springs to do ministry. You arrange your meals at nearby establishments or bring food to make your meals where we do ministry. We plan a full day of physical work at a place to meet and work with the homeless. We will provide the supplies for ministry and all the details. Cost for the one day trip is $25 per person.

ONE DAY AND ONE NIGHT MISSION TRIP
Pick a full day and night for a great time of ministry and impact on the streets of Colorado Springs.  We plan a full schedule of ministry where you will experience events with the homeless and manual labor at nearby agencies. We will guide you each step of the way including work and ministry.  Cost for the one day and one night trip is $50 per person.  You will be responsible for your own meals and lodging.  We can make suggestions for lodging at a local church, hotel, or the World Prayer Center.

WEEKEND  MISSION TRIP
Pick a weekend when your group can come on Friday night and leave Sunday night.  Be involved in our weekend ministries feeding the homeless and caring for the poor. It is a full weekend of activity with people and a one day work project at one of the near-by agencies. We will be with you for the whole weekend guiding you each step of the way. You will be responsible for your own meals and lodging.  Cost for the weekend trip is $100 per person.  We can make suggestions for lodging at a local church, hotel, or the World Prayer Center.

WEEK LONG MISSION TRIP - SUMMER AND HOLIDAYS
The week-long mission trip will change your life! It will make an impact in the life of your group of adults or youth. Each day is packed full of ministry opportunities you will participate in. You actually fit in what we are doing that day for work and ministry. Each day is different and we balance manual labor with lots of personal touch in the lives of people who make the streets their home. Your week long trip begins Monday night and goes through Friday night.   You will be responsible for your own meals and lodging.  We can make suggestions for lodging at a hotel or the World Prayer Center and will assist with your arrangements. The cost of the week long mission trip is $500 per person plus a $1000 ministry fee per week.

HOUSING
The Street Church will house your group in one of our local hotels or the World Prayer Center.  We would like to put four people per room if possible.   If you request a separate room you can do so in writing, and pay the extra room costs.  It is important that 30 days before your mission trip you provide The Street Church a room list.  The number you give us 30 days before your trip will be the number you will be charged for your trip. No exceptions, please. The Street Church will make all the arrangements for the hotel room.  One month before your trip, we will send you the directions to the hotel and a schedule of events planned for your week.

Ministry Opportunities

On any given day we may do one or many ministry events. Depending on the supplies on hand, the experiences we encounter may vary. Please be flexible in this area. God will use us in many different situations.

Day Camps
We may go to a housing project and do Bible Day Camps. This will include crafts, Bible lessons, games, songs and snacks.

Soup Kitchen
We may participate in a city soup kitchen. We will pass out food, and be active in the service with testimonies and singing.

Clothing Distribution
You are encouraged to bring large quantities of clothing to pass out on the streets.  Whatever you collect we will pass out personally to the people. Please make sure the clothes are clean and in order of some kind.

Clean Up
We will go to areas of town that need to be cleaned up. We will pick up garbage from areas children play in and families are trying to restore.  While doing clean up, we will have opportunities to talk and develop relationships with the people.

Paint and Repair
We may spend time painting and repairing homes of the elderly and poor. Many times we may not know from day to day what needs arise in this area, so be prepared to minister when the opportunity comes. If your group specifically wants to do this type of work, it can be arranged ahead of time. You will need to provide paint brushes and rollers.

Gift Bags
We will make sandwiches and gift bags to pass out on the streets late at night. It is a great time to sit and talk with the people. Your group supplies the items for the gift bags which may include; candy, soaps, hand lotion, toiletry items, small pocket Bibles, etc.

Ministry Teams
We may spend several nights doing an outdoor worship service on the streets. We will train your group how to share their faith and lead someone to a relationship with Christ.  If your group can sing or is already prepared in some sort of "arts" that would work in an outdoor service, please let us know.

Networking
We will partner with many different ministries, services and churches in Colorado Springs to help serve the poor and homeless. We may work with one or several of these groups while you are here with us.
